What is GRI?

All week, our Realtors have been posting to Facebook about doing GRI classes. It might leave you wondering, "What is GRI and does it matter when I pick a realtor?"

GRI stands for Graduate, REALTOR Institute, and it is a national program to educate Realtors in an ever changing market. The National Association of Realtors created a three year program to lay a solid foundation of skills, knowledge, and networking to help agents. Agents learn about changing real estate rules and how to connect with clients in a fast paced world. All this, with an ever present atmosphere of conducting business ethically and professionally. 

What do you gain when you choose a Realtor who is a GRI designee? You gain a partner in the stressful and complex world of real estate who has pursued a course of study that represents a common body of knowledge for progressive real estate professionals. They are recognized nationally. They understand that the real estate market is constantly changing and have the tools to adapt to it. Most importantly, if you choose a Realtor who is pursuing a GRI designation, or who has completed the course, you are choosing an agent who is committed to being the best Realtor they can be for their clients.
